President and CEO
Claudia Aguirre joined the Dallas Fed board in 2019.
Aguirre is president and CEO of BakerRipley, a community development nonprofit with 67 locations across the Houston region.
Prior to joining BakerRipley, she served as director of the Citizen’s Assistance Office for Houston Mayor Bill White.
Aguirre has over two decades of leadership experience directing large-scale community engagement initiatives and is known for her expertise in child development, community engagement and immigration policy. She has been featured in publications and articles produced by the Center for American Progress, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Urban Institute and Houston Chronicle.
She earned a master’s degree in education and bachelor’s degree in political science. She also holds an education executive certification from Harvard University.
