Ellen E. MeadeTroy Davig is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Academic Advisory Council.

Davig is  chief U.S. economist at Symmetry Investments, where he has led U.S. macroeconomic research and strategy since 2021. He previously served as a chief U.S. economist at Rokos Capital Management and spent over a decade at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, where he was director of research and senior vice president. Earlier in his career, he held roles as a senior economist at Barclays Capital and as an assistant professor at the College of William and Mary.

His research has been published in leading journals including American Economic Review, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking and The Review of Economics and Statistics. Davig is an expert in monetary policy, financial regulation and macroeconomics.

Davig holds a PhD in economics from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
