Daryl Fairweather

Daryl Fairweather is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Academic Advisory Council.

Fairweather is the chief economist at Redfin. Prior to joining Redfin, she was a senior economist at Amazon, working on problems related to employee engagement and managing a team of analysts. Before joining Amazon, Fairweather served in economist and analyst roles at Intensity Corp., Morgan Stanley and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. During the housing crisis, she worked as a researcher at the Boston Fed studying why homeowners entered foreclosure.

She holds a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s and a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago, where she specialized in behavioral economics.
