Chinhui Juhn is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Academic Advisory Council.
Juhn is the Henry Graham Professor of Economics at the University of Houston, where she has been a faculty member since 1991. She is also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a research fellow at IZA, and she recently served as co-editor of American Economic Review. She was elected a fellow of the Society of Labor Economists in 2019.
Her research expertise spans labor economics, inequality, gender and family economics, with publications in leading journals including American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, The Review of Economics and Statistics and Journal of Economic Perspectives. Juhn has held prior positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and as a senior economist for the Council of Economic Advisors.
Juhn holds a PhD and an MA in economics from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University.
