Thomas E. LongThomas E. Long is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Energy Advisory Council.

Long was named co-chief executive officer of Energy Transfer LP in January 2021 after previously serving as chief financial officer. He was appointed to Energy Transfer’s board in April 2019. Long was previously executive vice president and chief financial officer of Regency GP LLC from November 2010 to April 2015.

From May 2008 to November 2010, Long served as vice president and chief financial officer of Matrix Service Co. Prior to joining Matrix, he served as vice president and chief financial officer of DCP Midstream Partners LP, a publicly traded natural gas and natural gas liquids midstream business company. From 1998 to 2005, Long served in several executive positions with subsidiaries of Duke Energy Corp., one of the nation’s largest electric power companies. Long also previously served on the board of Sunoco LP and is currently chairman of USA Compression Partners LP. In July 2024, Long was appointed to the board of the Texas Stock Exchange.
