Paul Hamill

Paul Hamill is a member of the Federal Reserve of Dallas Financial Sector Advisory Council.
Hamill is the chief commercial officer of ICE Clear Credit, a leading global credit default swap clearinghouse. In this role, he is responsible for launching ICE’s U.S. Treasury clearing service, driving the strategic growth and strengthening client engagement across ICE Clear Credit’s product suite, while helping advance the firm’s position as a trusted risk-management partner for the U.S. Treasuries and global credit-derivatives market.
Prior to joining ICE, Hamill was Global Head of Fixed Income at Citadel Securities, where he led the client-facing fixed income market-making businesses, including interest rate swaps, U.S. Treasuries, foreign exchange (FX) and credit default swap indices. Earlier in his career, Hamill was a managing director and global head of FX, rates and credit execution services at UBS, overseeing global futures execution and foreign exchange prime brokerage, and spearheading the development of the firm’s fixed income electronic trading capabilities—including the Price Improvement Network for corporate bonds and credit default swaps, as well as the NEO platform for swaps traded on swap execution facilities.
Hamill has over 25 years of experience in financial services, having held roles in London, Zurich, New York, Chicago and Miami, with deep expertise spanning trading, sales and electronic markets. He holds an MA in political science from the University of Glasgow and an MS in finance from the University of London.
