Robert Triplett III

Robert TriplettRobert L. Triplett III serves as first vice president and chief operating officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. In this role, he is the Dallas Fed’s second ranking officer. He works with the bank’s president and leads the executive leadership team to set a strategic vision and business objectives for the district, ensuring operational and financial performance across the four district offices in Dallas, El Paso, Houston and San Antonio.

Nationally, Triplett collaborates with Federal Reserve System peers on major initiatives. He serves on several governance committees focused on technology, business operations, human resources and risk and has previously served as vice chair of the Federal Reserve’s Conference of First Vice Presidents and chairman of the System’s law enforcement oversight group.

Triplett joined the Federal Reserve in 1995 and has held various leadership responsibilities in multiple disciplines throughout his career. Prior to assuming the role of first vice president in 2021, he served as senior vice president responsible for Banking Supervision and Credit, Risk and Reserves Management. Throughout his career, Triplett has been known for his ability to effectively manage large teams and complex projects, bringing positive impact to the entire Federal Reserve System.

Triplett holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.
