Christa Deneault is a senior research economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, joining in 2025.

Deneault uses applied methods to answer research questions related to labor economics. Her work focuses on career decisions and answers questions related to barriers preventing individuals from pursuing further training (such as higher education or occupation-specific training) and how people use new information to guide their career choices.

Prior to joining the Bank, Deneault was an economist at the Federal Trade Commission in the anti-trust division. She holds bachelor’s degrees in applied mathematics and economics from Kansas State University and received her PhD in economics from Cornell University.
