Seth SearlsSeth Searls is vice president of financial sector and policy analysis in the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, where he leads a team providing insights on policy-relevant global financial market themes.

Searls joined the Bank from the New York Fed, where he managed a team responsible for analyzing cross-cutting global market and policy themes for the Open Markets Desk. He previously led analysis of policy-relevant economic and market themes in Latin America, with a focus on Mexico and Brazil. Prior to the New York Fed, Searls was an advisor to the U.S. executive director at the Asian Development Bank, and an international economist for the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of International Affairs.

He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Yale College.
