Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Miran visits the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas for Global Perspectives, the Dallas Fed’s speaker series featuring leaders from the worlds of business, academia and policymaking sharing insights on leadership and global, national and regional developments. Former Dallas Fed Board Chair Tom Falk will moderate the discussion, and Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan will deliver opening and closing remarks.

  • On-site parking is available only for conference attendees, scheduled tour groups and visitors with appointments. The visitor parking lot entrance is on Thomas Avenue. Public parking is also available at paid lots in the area for visitors taking self-guided tours of our exhibit.

About Stephen Miran

Stephen Miran

Stephen I. Miran took office as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System on Sept. 16, 2025, to fill an unexpired term ending Jan. 31, 2026.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Miran served as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Donald J. Trump. He previously worked as a senior strategist at Hudson Bay Capital Management and as a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research.

From 2020 to 2021, Dr. Miran served as senior adviser for economic policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He worked in financial markets for a decade before joining the Treasury Department.

Dr. Miran received a BA in economics, philosophy and mathematics from Boston University. He earned a PhD in economics from Harvard University.

About Tom Falk

Tom

Thomas J. Falk was a member of the Dallas Fed board from 2019-2024, serving as chairman his final three years.

Falk retired as chairman and CEO of Irving-based Kimberly-Clark Corp. in 2019. He currently serves on the boards of Lockheed Martin Corp. and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

He and his wife Karen in 2023 received the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ J. Erik Jonsson Award, the organization’s highest honor for volunteer service.

Falk received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin and a master of science degree in management from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
