Texas consumer price index weighted by civilian labor force
Note: Official October CPI data were not released due to the government shutdown, hence the values for October are simply a linear interpolation of September and November.
While the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) does not publish a state-level consumer price index (CPI), it does produce metro-level consumer price indexes for Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston. To approximate a state-level CPI, we take a weighted average of both metropolitan areas using their civilian labor force. Civilian labor force data is from the BLS’ current population survey and is available by metro area and month.

This CPI can be used to deflate nominal values to real values.
