Xiaoqing Zhou joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in July 2019. Her research is in the field of household finance, energy economics and macroeconomics. She is particularly interested in the implications of heterogeneity across individuals and across geographic locations for the transmission of aggregate shocks. She has studied, for example, the interaction between the housing market and the macroeconomy as well as the link between energy markets and the macroeconomy. Xiaoqing previously worked as a senior economist for the Bank of Canada. She holds a PhD in economics from the University of Michigan.
